Albert Sementa joined the firm’s Corporate, Estate Planning/Administration, and Mergers & Acquisitions practice groups in August 2021. He is a former Tax Manager at Deloitte LLP, where he serviced a wide range of multinational corporate and pass-through clients. For these clients, Mr. Sementa assisted with federal and state tax compliance and consulting issues on matters related, but not limited to, income and sales tax nexus, tax controversy, state nonresident withholding, and real estate transfer tax.
Mr. Sementa also chaired the Deloitte Tax Deputy position for the State of Georgia. While in that role, he collaborated with colleagues across the firm’s US Tax Practice to bring expertise in alleviating clients’ specialized Georgia income tax and controversy issues. He also served as a State Tax Reform Champion, where he implemented excel-based modeling throughout the firm’s Atlanta and Charlotte offices for consistent application of post-TCJA state income tax planning.
Prior to joining Deloitte, Mr. Sementa began his career at Ernst & Young, LP, where he earned the title of Senior Tax Associate.
