Joseph O. Taylor, Jr. joined the firm in 1971 and is the senior member of the firm’s real estate and development department. Born in Sanford, NC, Mr. Taylor is dedicated to his community and has created extensive connections across Southeastern North Carolina. Throughout the course of his career, he has designed, implemented and supervised many of the outstanding commercial and residential developments in Brunswick, New Hanover and Pender counties.
Mr. Taylor has been the recipient of a multitude of awards and honors, including being named as one of The Best Lawyers in America © in Real Estate Law and Land Use and Zoning and receiving Martindale-Hubbell’s highest honor of AV® Preeminent Peer Review Rated and Judicial Edition for both legal ability and ethical standards across multiple years. He is also an Honorary Alumni of North Carolina State University and the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
