Faison Gibson has more than 20 years of experience representing clients in sophisticated real estate and corporate transactions. She regularly assists clients in the acquisition, development, financing, subdivision, zoning, leasing, and sale of real property, including the formation of planned communities, condominiums, timeshare and fractional interest projects, shopping center facilities, office complexes, mixed-use developments, and marina regimes. Ms. Gibson represents both developers and owner associations on a wide variety of legal matters including transition issues, community governing documents, and resolution of community issues and disputes. She negotiates and prepares all forms of real estate and loan documentation on behalf of buyers, sellers, lenders, landlords, and tenants. Her work includes regulatory compliance, community governance, complex title examinations and curative actions, and a wide variety of zoning and land use matters. In our community, Faison has served on several executive boards for organizations that promote economic development, including the New Hanover County Airport Authority that operates the Wilmington International Airport (ILM) and the Greater Wilmington Chamber of Commerce.

- $44 million acquisition and development loan for the construction of a residential and commercial development encompassing 2,000 acres
- $30 million joint venture for apartment and assisted living development
- $22 million sale/leaseback transaction involving multiple medical offices
- $10 million acquisition and loan for mixed use development including apartments
- $8 million educational facilities revenue bond transaction
- $4 million asset purchase transaction involving the purchase and financing of property and farm located in six counties in Eastern North Carolina from multiple sellers in bankruptcy
- Numerous asset purchase transactions involving both business assets and real estate including restaurants, breweries, hotels, marinas, car dealerships and self-storage facilities
